Mrs. R. B. Gienow Dies in HospitalS5
Mrs. R. B. Gienow, 24, the former Joan Gibson, of 286 Albert street, died Friday after a short illness. Born in Ottawa, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Gibson, she married Ronald Bruce Gienow here in 1949. Mr. Gienow is stationed with the RCAF in Whitehorse.
Surviving, besides her husband and parents are a son, [living], and a daughter, [living], and three brothers, [possibly living], all of Ottawa.
The body is at Hulse and Playfair's from where it will be taken Tuesday morning to Christ Church Cathedral for service at 11 o'clock. Interment will be in Beechwood Cemetery

Snapdragons and ferns decorated St. George's Anglican church for the marriage yesterday evening of Irene Helen Joan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Wallace Gibson, and LAC Ronald Bruce Gienow, son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Gienow of Yorktown, Sask.
Rev. H. C. Vaughan officiated at the ceremony, and Mr. and Mrs. W. Neil were organist and soloist respectively.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore and afternoon dress of turquoise taffeta with lace bodice, square neckline and cap sleeves. Her accessories were white and she carried a white prayer book with streamers. Deep cream roses in corsage completed her ensemble,
Her attendants were Miss Frances Ferguson and Miss Patricia Gunn, and LAC Al Metson was best man.
Mr. and Mrs. Gienow left on a wedding trip to Montreal and Quebec following a reception at the home of the bride's parents. For travelling, the bride wore a suit of claret gabardine with green accessories and corsage bouquet of roses.
The newly weds will make their home in Ottawa.
