1684, Jan. 11. Will - proved 1684, Mar 14. Exx wife Elizabeth; Overseers James Baker of Newport, William Cadman, George Lawton of Portsmouth. To grandson Hugh Bailey, at decease of my wife, my house and land and a third of my stock of moveables, but if Hugh Bailey die before he enjoy it, then to his heits. Wife to bring up grandson and he to be helpful to her. To daughter Hannah Atteson, 1s. To granddaughter Hannah Matteson, 3 ewe sheep. To my wife's two daughters, living on Long Island, viz: Susannah Carpenter and Elizabeth Doty, the rest of the estate.
