He made manyland transfers in the H artland and Simsbury districts, both as grantorand asgrantee, but the latest is perhaps incl uding it, to his brotherJoel for 180 lbs silver. Diligent search has not disclosed his nam e inany later record nor the date and place of his death nor of that (missinginfo)(missing info)Washington Township, Litchfield County, Connecticut, consisted of one male a nd two females, besides the parents and twochildren of th efamily. This has seemed to sugges t the extra members, especially since the parents-in-law of Hezekiah were maintaining their own home at this time and all of their own children resided with them.Unsuccessful but especi ally in Connecticut and New York, to learn whereand when Hezekiah and his wife, Abigail (DOA NE) died. The strongestprobabilty seems to be that they died after census records one of hi sname then resident with two females. About 1783, the time of his sale ofproperty in East H artland to his brother Joel, his family began to breakup and before 1785; his son Elihu wa s in Canajoharie, NY, by 1800 andmay have moved west much earlier [and Canaan, where this un identifiedHezekiah resided in 1790 was directly on his way to NY, in 1790,equidistant fro m Canaan and Canajoharie; and Benjamin had moved west toWyalusing , now included in Pennsylv ania] by 1791.Canaan prove the identity or the end of this Hezekiah Ackley, but heprobably was ours. I f so, since he was comparatively a stranger in a newcountry with no relatives nearby, probab ly before 1795, when localchurch records begin which might show him if living. 1 2 3
