MILITARY:

Henry T. Seaver, a resident of Windsor VT, enlisted as a Private in the Union Army on 24 August 1861. He enlisted in Company K, 4th Infantry Regiment of Vermont on 21 September 1861. He was taken as a Prisoner of War on 29 June 1862 at Savage's Station VA, and paroled on 13 September 1862. He was promoted to Full Corporal on 25 October 1863, and reenlisted in Company K on 15 December 1863. He was wounded on 25 May 1864 at Wilderness VA. He was promoted to Full Sergeant on 26 October 1864, and transferred on 25 February 1865 from Company K to Company D.
