Henry(2) Poor (John(1)), born in Newbury, Mass., 13 Dec. 1650, died in Rowley, Mass., after 2 Apr. 1741, when he was over ninety years of age. … He was made a Freeman, 7 Mar. 1680-81 and held some minor town offices. At the time of King Philip's War, he served in the Narragansett Campaign. Henry Poor made a will, 2 Apr. 1741, but it was not probated. He gave to his son Benjamin Poor, the easterly half of his homestead and the rest of his real estate to son Samuel, making the latter executor. He mentions his daughters, Abigail, Mary, Hannah, Sarah, Elizabeth and Lydia, the latter undoubtedly his daughter-in-law, widow of his son Jeremiah.
