HENRY JOSEPH HYDE, son of CHARLES HYDE and MARY RINKE, was born on 18 Jan 1905 at Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan. Henry was the eldest of a family of five children. He had four younger sisters. His sister Clara died at age ten. A set of twins died at birth for a total of seven children in his family.
Before marriage HENRY lived at 3652 Milwaukee, Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan. This address no longer exists. The neighborhood has been replaced by a GM-Cadillac assembly plant. He married OLIVE LUCILLE BUTT, daughter of CHARLES BUTT JR. and LILLIE BELLE PARKE, on 7 Sep 1937 at Crown Point, Lake County, Indiana, at the age of 32. The couple had four daughters, three surviving into adulthood. Daughter Marilyn died in infancy.
HENRY was a bartender when living in Waukegan. He helped dig a tunnel under the Detroit River from Canada to Detroit. He drove a taxi at the time of his death.
He died on 10 Feb 1948 at Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan, at age 43 of a Ruptured Ulcer. He was buried in Gethsemane Cemetery on 13 Feb 1948 at Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan, at the age of 43. He left a widow and three young children ages five, eight and ten.
