The following quote is not born out by the 1860 census. Further research is needed.

"James Henry and Eliza lived in Hockingsport, Ohio. Their older children were born there. Later they lived in New England area of Wood County, WV. Burial ground is on top of a point by the side of 'the lower Belleville Road' with no fence in between. It had originally been back in a field, until the addition to it was made several yrs ago."

His son, James Bolton Hall said on his 1900 census record that he, James Bolton, was born in Ohio and that both of his parents were born in Pennsylvania. This appears to be an error.
