Letter HDE to Reg 27 Jan 1941 Rifle Depot, Winchester: Due 3 Feb 1941 to be posted to Home Defence Unit with Thorneloe. at Sports Pavilion, Gt Chertsey, Chiswick London W4 to 'stiffen up on training' the 'old men'. Plans to see if can 'live out' and get Joan up there and let out the Winchester flat furnished. Mentioned Tip was apathetic about agreeing the debts due against the estate of AME. He 'appears broken up ' as this was shortly after Ann's death in Canada. Honor still in Canada.
