Henry Dugger was born ca 1769 or earlier, most likely in Surry Co, VA (though Brunswick Co, VA is possible as well). He is a proven son of Henry Dugger and Ann Bailey, and was named as such in Henry's Will (1805).

Henry (referred to as "Jr" while his father was still living) was born ca 1769 or earlier. I based this on his first public record being found in 1790, and assuming he was at least 21 years old then, so that makes him born ca 1769 or earlier (but not much earlier).

On 27 Feb 1792 Henry Duggar obtained a marriage bond in Brunswick Co, VA to marry Armon Duggar. The bond showed Armon to be a child of Lurany Price (daughter of John Dugger Sr), making them 1st cousins, once removed. The bondsmen for the marriage was Richardson Brown, Joseph Price (Armon's step-father), and Howell Duggar. (Armon's Uncle). Henry and Armon were married by Minister Aaron Brown on 1 Mar 1791 (sic, should probably say 1792).

Armon Dugger was born ca 1772/73 in Brunswick Co, VA, apparently born out of wedlock to Lurany Dugger. Lurany married Joseph Price in 1784 and became her step-father.

Henry Dugger Jr was not listed on the 1794, 1795, and 1796 tax lists in Brunswick. This may indicate a temporary move out of the county. However, he was back for the 1797 list.

In November 1798, in Brunswick Court, John Murrell sued Henry Dugger Jr for debt. (Brunswick Co, VA Order Book 18 page 51).

On 11 Feb 1799 John Dugger Sr (Henry Jr's Uncle) sold Henry Dugger Jr 100 acres of land on the north side of Gravelly Run. Witnesses were: James Stainback, Jordon Richardson and William Firth. (Brunswick Co, VA Deed Book 17 page 391).

In June 1799, in Brunswick Court, the deed from John Dugger Sr to Henry Dugger Jr was proven in court by James Stainback, Jordan Rirchardson and William Firth. (Brunswick Co, VA Order Book 15 page 179)

Henry Dugger Jr probably was listed on the 1800 census in Brunswick Co, VA; but unfortunately, this census was lost for the State of Virginia.

On 9 Jul 1805, Henry Jr's father Henry Dugger Sr made his Will in Brunswick Co, VA and he named his "son Henry Dugger" in the Will. (Brunswick Co, VA Will Book 7 page 160).

On 8 Apr 1807 Henry Dugger sold 100 acres to James Rice. The land was described as where "Dugger lives" adjoining Richmond Dugger, William Kirkland, Herbert Hill, John Bennett, deceased, and Lovewell Dugger. Court records from 1816 (after Henry's death) show this was a Deed of Trust. Subsequent tax records show this land still in Henry's possesion, and it was also divided up in his estate. (Brunswick Co, VA Deed Book 20 page 155).

Henry Dugger died sometime between 8 Apr 1807 and 1808.

Henry Dugger Jr was not listed on the 1808 personal property tax list, probably indicating he had died by then.

In December 1809, in Brunswick Court, Philip Pryor, administrator of Henry Dugger, deceased, was granted an injunction for a stay execution of a judgment against him by Daniel Dugger, executor of John Dugger, deceased. (Brunswick Co, VA Order Book 23 page 264).

Henry Dugger Jr was listed on the 1810 Brunswick Co, VA Real Property Tax list with 100 acres. The record did not note that he was deceased.

In May 1810, in Brunswick Court, another case was filed by Philip Pryor, administrator of Henry Dugger, deceased, against Daniel Dugger, executor of John Dugger Sr, deceased. The cause was abated by the death of the defendant (Daniel) and was carried over to James Dugger, who was now the administrator of John Dugger Sr, deceased in room of Daniel Dugger, deceased. (Brunswick Co, VA Order Book 23 page 404).
