From Fern Arnspiger-Hyten: Eula's grandfather Henry Arnspiger was born in Kentucky, married Mary Jane Fitzgerald, later moved to Illinois in Jersey county. Grandfather Arnspiger took a claim in Kansas in 1874 and moved his family to Kansas, Sumner county. George W. Arnspiger his son was shot accidently and buried on the family farm. That plot was given to the community as a Cemetery. When the family started to Kansas they arrived in Johnson county near Kansas City when they heard of the grasshopper invasion. they rented a place in Johnson county and spent the winter there before coming on to Sumner county. Their cousins A.B. MCCutcheons were living there. So the two families were together.
