In 1965, she and John Sess moved from Buffalo, NY to Laguna Hills, CA, to a senior complex (near-city) called Leisure World. Henrietta continued to live there almost 20 years after the death of her husband, living her last several months in a nursing home in Encinitas, CA, not far from her daughter, Miriam Sess Smith.
