Facts and Events
According to Irma Faeth (conversations with Shaun Martin, March 5 and 13, 2000), "Uncle Henry" was not a very bright man, but tall and very handsome. He owned a saloon in Wilkinsburg. He then had an ice cream parlor on the North Side of Pittsburgh. He lost all of his money, about $50,000 in the 1929 crash and then worked as a ticket taker in the the Loewes Theater (El Dine?) in downtown Pittbsurgh. He and his wife, Minnie, never had any children. He lost a leg to diabetes after which he moved in with his neice, Louisa Faeth DeMuth, at the parish house (?) at St. Martin's church in the West End of Pittsburgh. References
