Hector seems to have been the son of George Jardine and Agnes ......and was probably born in Middlesex c1784-5. 1805-Pallot' Marriage Index has an entry for a Hector Jardin , bachelor , marrying Anne Servey , spinster at Christchurch , Newgate London - we need to order the films if they exist. He and Ann seem to have had the following children- Sarah Harriott-b.1813 and married in 1830 to James Ellis. Ann-b.1815 - died unmarried at 32y. Mary Ann-b1823 and married in 1857 to William Brown. 1823-35-Hector appears to have been widowed in this timeframe but is having children with Elizabeth nee Mitchell by c1835 with the birth of another daughter , Elizabeth who married Joseph Surgett in 1862. 1830-a Hector Jardin was a witness to the marriage of James Ellis & Sarah Harriet Jardine on the 15th of June 1830 in London . H_666-2. pdf p.112 I have the image. 1849- on the Death Certificate of Hector , Mary Ann Brown was present at the death - she lived at 11 Walbrook Row , Hoxton New Town and she signed with a cross[X]- Mary Ann has been proven to be his 2nd known daughter Mary Ann Jardine who married William Brown in 1857. 1851- Elizabeth Jardin , Laundress 42y , is a widow with 3 sons , Hector 13y, George 11y and John 9y. No record of Elizabeth 15y at home nor Step-dtr Ann 35y. The family were living at 14 Wellesley Street , St Luke district of Finsbury London. Her daughter Elizabeyh 14y was living /staying in Surrey with her maternal Uncle John Mitchell , his dtr and sons and his Mother in law - who was Elizabeths grandmother as well. Elizabeth was stated to be a Dressmaker.
