Spencer Co, IN Living in Monroe Co, OH in 1850 Census Harvey Ice, son of Mahala and George Ice, was born Oct 13, 1848. About 9 o'clock on the morning of 24 Mar 1926, he dropped into a long and peaceful sleep into the Great Beyond quietly and peacefully as he lived, leaving a bereaved companion, a desolate home and a community shocked with the loss of a beloved neighbor, friend and citizen. Besides his wife he leaves to mourn his loss seven children, three brothers, two sisters, three step-children and thirty-nine grandchildren.

In 1877 he was united in marriage to Kate Harris who died leaving two small children; Kizzie, who preceded him in death and Gertie, now Mrs. John Martin, of Bellevue, Ohio. A few years later he was united in marriage to Anna Harris Stateler. To this union were born six children, Mrs. Ella Walters, Mrs. Nellie Walters and George, all of Bellevue, Ohio. Will, of Evansville, and Mrs. Georgianna Abshler, of Kenny, Ill., and one died in infancy.

The funeral was preached at Cross Roads Church by Rev. William Medcalf. Interment was at the Hackleman Cemetery.
