Cutting from local newspaper (probably dated 30th August 1974) found in the possessions of his sister-in-law, Mrs Amelia Smith, on 21st May 2001 by her daughter Betty Shillingford.
"Mr Harold Hunt, East Harling. The funeral service took place at East Harling Parish Church on Wednesday for Mr Harold Elias Hunt who died suddenly at his home in Garboldisham Road, East Harling, on August 17. He died one day before his 88th birthday.
Mr Hunt had spent almost all his life in the village apart from a time in the army during the first world war when he was seriously injured and suffered for the rest of his days as a result.
He worked on the West Harling Estate and as a gardener for the late Mr Walter Kerridge and latterly for Miss E. Kerridge. His wife died 23 years ago and he leaves one married daughter.
The service was conducted by the Rev.H.V.Saunderson and interment followed at The Cemetery.
