Ward, Hannah, d. Obediah, Feb. 23, 1739-40.
- There is a record in the Middleborough VR, p. 187, for the baptism of "Hannah, d. Obadiah" on 14 Sep 1712. It is not clear if this is the same Hannah or another daughter named Hannah. Unfortunately, the death record cited does not give an age at death. One would normally expect if Hannah was baptized so late, that all children born up to that point would be baptized at the same time, yet this is the only baptism recorded on that date in this source. In particular, if this was the Hannah b. 1704, we would expect to see Jedidiah baptized the same day, but we don't. This is probably not a child of his second wife who married in Dec 1711 and had a daughter Thankful born very early in 1713, but we can't rule out the possibility this is a second daughter Hannah (meaning the first one died in infancy), possibly born when his first wife died in 1709. However, since we have no actual evidence, we must follow MartynS2 in assuming there was only one daughter Hannah.
