Hannah (or Anna) Walker was baptised on 31st March 1833 at Weston in Hertfordshire, daughter of John and Mary Walker. Some time between 1835 and 1838 the family moved to the neighbouring parish of Willian. Hannah appears in the 1841 census living in Willian with her parents and siblings.
Hannah had left home by 1851 and was working as a servant at Outwell in Norfolk, over fifty miles away from Willian.
By 1855 Hannah had returned to Willian. She was married there on 2nd June 1855 to Thomas Moles. Between 1856 and 1873 they had eight children baptised at Willian, although one died as a boy of five years old. In both the 1871 and 1881 censuses they were living at 5 Willian Cottages. Hannah worked as a straw plaiter, whilst Thomas was an agricultural labourer.
Thomas died in 1889, aged 60. Hannah then went to live with her son William who had moved to London and been left a widower with a young son. Hannah appears in the 1891 census living at Ferrers Road in Streatham, and in the 1901 censuses living in Hampstead with her son William and his son. By 1911 she had returned to Ferrers Road in Streatham (which by that time had been absorbed into the Metropolitan Borough of Wandsworth), this time to live with her daughter Sarah and her family.
Hannah died in 1913 in Wandsworth, aged 79.
