Cites G. Andrew Moriarty's article in TAG 26:108 which suggests her maiden name was Hapscott of Hopcott since her son Thomas gave one of his sons the name Hapcott. This would probably make her a sister of Sarah (Hapcott) Macy, but McCracken is not sure her name is Hannah, since the original evidence was the admission of Hannah Gardner to the Salem Church, and it is now accepted as the wife, not of Thomas, but of his brother George, and also since Thomas waited until his fifth daughter to use the name Hannah for one of his children. [Note: Source:Anderson, Robert Charles. Great Migration Begins: Immigrants to New England, 1620-1633, p. 734, cites these two articles in giving the first wife's name as "--- Hapscott[?]".]
