"2. Hannah Buckingham, oldest child of Thomas Buckingham, the puritan settler, born in England in 1632, married Thomas Welch, who was made freeman in 1665. The date of the marriage has not been ascertained. He represented the town of Milford in the General Court the same year. He died Aug. 12, 1681. Mrs. Hannah Welch died in 1684, having been admitted to the church at the age of fourteen."
