Sergeant in Military and later in Cape Mounted Rifles. Later apparently a Sgt. Major. Arrived at the Cape in 1827. Birthdate changed from 20/11/1808 to conform with the Edwin Joseph Jakins record on which the Temple work was done. Died aged 56 yrs 7 mths 27 days.

His brothers children: Daughter---Marion Son---Charles. Charles lived at 4 Falmouth Crescent Falmouth England.
