    A Davisson researcher has written me: "Granville was a major in the Harrison County (VA) Guards in 1839. Louisa had six siblings, all born between 1837 and 1849. Granville has a listing in the DAR registry . . .One of Granville's descendants is very knowledgeable (about the family genealogy) but has not made it available."

Her grandfather was George I. Davisson, born April 29, 1786, died November 4, 1836; he married, September 9, 1809, Jemima Pindall, born October 3, 1790, a sister of the celebrated lawyer of Clarksburg, Colonel James Pindall. Granville G. Davisson was born June 25, 1810, died April 6, 1856; his wife was born May 2, 1817, died February 28, 1851; they married in 1837. ...
