Grancer Dugger never existed as far as can be determined. His name was first mentioned in a book published in 1916.

Maxwell History and Genealogy by ??, 1916, p. 340.

[Thomas Jordan Uzzell] married in Tennessee, 1812, Mary Dugger, a daughter of Leonard Dugger, who was the son of Grancer Dugger, a native of Ireland, who emigrated to North Carolina.

Comments: Leonard Dugger (1773-c1817) is a proven son of John Dugger, Surry and Frances Dugger. No idea where the name "Grancer Dugger" of Ireland came from. It is certainly a distinctive name.
