Geraldine L. Ray
WARREN - Geraldine L. Ray, 89, 5103 Alva Ave, N.W., died at 1:50 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001, at Community Skilled Nursing Centre, following a lengthy illness.
She was born Aug. 14, 1912, in Trumbull County, a daughter of Herbert and Mabelle Winans Gardner; and was a lifelong area resident.
Mrs. Ray graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in 1929.
A homemaker and member of Second Christian Church in Warren, she enjoyed crafts, playing cards and playing the piano and organ.
Her husband, Howard, died in 1988.
Survivors include a daughter, Shirlee Shafer Fritz of Champion; a half-brother, Phillip Gardner of Rogersville, Tenn., a half-sister, Marilyn Davis of Radford, Va.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A brother, Ernest, is deceased.
There are no calling hours, and cremation has taken place.
Carl W. Hall Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
