GERALDINE TRUSTY
Mrs. Geraldine Burns Trusty, 71, of 1812 Monroe St., LaPorte, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, at 2:50 p.m. at LaPorte Hospital, following a long illness.
She was born Nov. 27, 1910, in Hobart, Ind.; to Earl B. and Ruby L. (Leslie) Burns, and had lived here since 1943. She was a member and deaconess of the First Christian Church and assistant leader of its Ruth Chircle. She was a member of the LaPorte Hospital Auxiliary.
On June 15, 1930, in Nashua, Iowa, she married Elvin Lester Trusty who died July 31, 1976.
Surviving are two sons, Douglas B. of Houston, Texas, and Dirk E. of Mobile, Ala.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Ruby L. Burns of Gary, Ind., and one sister, Mrs. Madelyn Kmetz of Ocala, Fla.
Funeral services will be 2 P.m. Friday at the Haverstock Funeral Home with Dr. William C. Flewelling officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:30-8:30 p.m. this evening and until the time of services Friday. Burial will be in Patton Cemetery.
