    Dear Effie __
    "I have very sad news My Dear Bert. passed away Dec 17th he went so sudden. on 17th he went down town got hair cut. Shave. Chrstmas tree also a reath for door. Paid the Milk bill, Come home he ate good supper. At 730 he slumped down. I got to him he says Mom I cant get my breath. Called the Dr. a rush call he was here in a few min. as he come in at Door I said Bert here is your Dr. he sys do something for me Doc. I cant breath. Called the ambulance. as they drove in at gate he drew his last breath. and my Dear was gone. the Dr took autopsy. found 2 blood clots on heart. was all over in 20 min. All so sudden and such a shock. But am thankful for he never had to be sick and suffer. I know we will all get that call sometime, and Hope can all be as ready as he was. We had 34 years of a very happy life. together. and each year we were nearer and Dearer to each other. I do have wonderfull memories. he was a grand Pal. always Jolly. Jokeing and looking on Bright side. and now I am left very lonely. he had so many friends. The funeral Home was just Packed full. and loads & loads of lovely flowers. The children all live away. Allan's in Denver Arlene in Calif. Virginia in N - Dak. Bobby our Grandson been with us for 2 Yrs. he Stays with me he is 17. graduates this Yr. and mother is failing she be 89 in June. and Alva is in Poor health. . . ."
