He was a native of Fairfield County and is survived by one son, Isaac, residing on the home farm. Mr. Heistand was a member of the 144th O. V. I. in the civil war. The funeral will be held at the United Brethren church, in Sycamore, Tuesday morning, at 9:30. Reverend J. N. Holmes will officiate. "
