Notes
- From "History of Woodford County, Kentucky", by William Edward Railey, William E. Railey, pg. 412:
- Recently I received a letter from Mrs. Mary Harrison Moore of Independence, Missouri, a niece of the Rich Hill, Missouri, Franciscos in which she said I was mistaken about Col. John Francisco being the head of her line. And to prove it, she sent me a copy of her D.A.R. papers showing complete dates of birth, marriage and death of each generation of her line, which I am using for the supplement to the Woodford County History. It follows: George Francisco, b. 1739, d. at "Cowpastures" in 1809. m. Mary Murray, 1761; she b. 1741, d. 1844. He was a soldier of the Revolution; his son George, b. 1773, d. 1839, m. Elizabeth Mays, 1812, she b. 1792, d.1844, and their son Andrew b. in Woodford County, Jan. 3, 1814, d. Feb. 2, 1868, m. Joan Christy, Sept. 3, 1895; whose children were: Andrew Francisco, b. in Fayette County, Kentucky, Mar. 26, 1837; Charles, b. in Fayette County, Kentucky, Dec. 2, 1838; Elizabeth, b. Saline County, Missouri, Mar. 1, 1843; Joseph, b. in Missouri, Mar. 10, 1845; Priscilla, b. in Missouri, Nov. 29, 1847; William, b. in Missouri, Jan. 2, 1850; Mary Adelia, b. in Missouri, Jan. 11, 1852; John Steele, b. in Missouri, Aug. 7, 1854; Simeon Payne, b. June 14, 1856; and Albert B., b. May 13, 1861. Mrs. Moore who sent me the above D.A.R. paper is the daughter of the above Elizabeth Francisco who married Alfred Bell Harrison, April 1, 1862. I am very thankful for the correction. She knew nothing of the other lines, but I have gathered other information and am giving it to those who may be interested.
