Dodson, George - entered service 1781 in Virginia; granted Pension by State of Virginia after severeley wounded in Battle of Guilford Courthouse; died 6/27/1848 Pittsylvania County, Virginia; married 12/22/1803 Lucy Dodson, Halifax County, Virginia, by Reverend Elias Dodson; wifow applied for bounty land warrant age 74 Pittsylvania County, Virginia in 1853 & granted Bounty Land Warrant; widow then applied for pension, suspended for proof of husbands service. F-BLW51883, R828.
