George Cox was baptised on 9th May 1830 at Norton in Hertfordshire, son of Susan Cox, formerly Moles, and her husband George Cox, a labourer. George senior actually died at about the same time George junior was born - George senior was buried twelve days before George junior's baptism.

George junior died when just over a year old, being buried on 22nd May 1831.
