Eli McDaniel, who was born in 1822 [sic] in Roane County, Tennessee, and married Susan Moss Cook, was the son of Daniel McDaniel and Mary Buchanan. Mary Buchanan, who was born in 1800 in Kentucky and died in December 1835 near Paducah, Kentucky, was the daughter of George Buchanan and Mary McClelland. Mary McClelland Buchanan died in February 1836. George Buchanan was identified as a brother of Anna Buchanan who married Enos Miles. However, documents pertaining to Anna Bohannon, the wife of Enos MIles, only identify one brother, Jeremiah Bohannon.
