- George J. Bradley, 88 of Elk Creek Mobile Home Park, Madisonville, Died at 4:55 A.M. Monday May 16, 1994 in Regional Medical Center.
- Born Jan. 30, 1906, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, He was the son of the late William J. Bradley and Elizabeth Jane Mayfield Bradley.
- He Retired in 1971 as a shovel operator for Peabody Coal Company. He was a member of the Greater Lighthouse Pentecostal Church, Founder of the Retired Coal Miners Breakfast Club, member of the U.M.W.A. and a member of the E.W. Tuner Masonic Lodge of Earlington, Kentucky for more than 50 years.
- He was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Ovid Isbell Bradley, on March 13, 1992. He was also preceded in death by two sons, Jerry Lee Bradley, Dec. 12, 1933, and George Gene Bradley on July 9, 1974, Three brothers and one sister,
- He is survived by two daughters, Mrs Lavonia "Skeet" Downing of Boonville, Indiana, and Mrs Leveta Lovelady of Christian County; one son Donald L. Bradley of Madisonville; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
- Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home, with Rev. Ron Hendricks and Rev. Bobby Alvey officiating burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery were Masonic Service will be held.
- His Grandchildren will serve as Pallbearers (insert: six of his grandsons carried him and all the grandchildren and great grandchildren was honor Pallbearers)
- Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 a.m. until the funeral hour Thursday at the funeral home.
- Memorial contributions may be made to Tupelo Children's Mansion or The Masonic Home.
