George Bean lost all his poperty on German Creek to Matthew English about 1801 and moved to Rutherford County, Tennessee. George advertized in the Knoxville Gazette, Nov. 3, 1792 "The subscriber informs the public that he carries on the Goldsmith's and Jeweler's business at his house near Bean Station on German Creek, Hawkings County, Tennessee (which later became Grainger County, Tennessee). He likewise makes Rifle Guns in the neatest and most approved manner. Those who please to employ him in either of the above branches may depend on having their commands faithfully executed."
