Death place from DAR application record. Also says 1845, Fairfax Co. record says 1839. IGI reports birthdate of 1752 and marriage date of 1765. 'Early Settlers of Lee Co. VA & Adjacent Counties,' Vol II, by Hattie Muncy Bales reports the following: George was in Washington Co. in 1782--John, Moses and Martha Ball, children of George, intermarried with the Yeary family, and some of the Yeary family, along with George and John, served in the Revolutionary war. The indications are that the Balls and Yearys migrated to Southwestern Virginia from the Fairfax-Stafford Co. area of Virginia. [p. 711]. George Ball was a RW Vet, according to 'Harlan Connections' by Frances Y. Dunham, p. 35. (Call no. 976.9154.x28d, SLC FHL). IGI says 'George Ball, son of Moses Ball, and Ann Nancy Bresher; born 1752, Fairfax, VA' and 'George Ball, spouse: Elizabeth Tunnell, married 1765, Fairfax, VA. '
