Garold James Hammer
Garold "Jim" Hammer, 74, 182 St. Francis Ave., Tiffin, died Tuesday, Sep t. 7, 2004, at St. Francis Home. He was born Oct. 19, 1929, in Kansas OH, to the late Lewis and Theresa (D epinet) Hammer. He first married Reva Davidson and she is deceased. He later married Emi ly Pospisil on March 31, 1986, in Fostoria. She survives. Other survivors include: children, Mrs. Richard (Stacey) Maebert of Sou th Orange, N.J, Mrs. James (Diane) Weaver of Columbus, Stephen Hammer of F argo, N.C, Thomas Hammer of Findlay, Mrs. Jeff (Marianne) Thomas of Findla y, Mrs. Mark (Annette) Schaller of Bowling Green; Mrs. Richard (Lori) Hen ry of Carey, Norbert Levans of Cincinnati, Mark Levans of Tiffin, Mrs. T im (Stephanie) Rutherford of Green Springs and Paul Pospisil of Tiffi n; 22 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; four brothers, Anthony Hamm er of FL, Ralph Hammer of Tiffin, Richard and Edward Hammer, both of Kansa s OH; and sisters, Viola Klaiss of Bettsville and Delores Whitt of Upp er Sandusky. He was preceded in death by four brothers, John, Charles, Lawrence and Fra nklin Hammer and three sisters, Lucille Burdett, Matilda Nye and Mary Magd alene Tiell. Mr. Hammer, a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, was employed as a weld er and factory worker at Atlas in Fostoria for 33 years. He enjoyed woodwo rking and refinishing antiques. A funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, in St. Francis Ho me Chapel, with the Rev. David Ross officiating. Burial will be in St. Ma ry Cemetery, Millersville OH. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10 at the Hoffmann-Gottfried Fun eral Home and 10:30-11 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis Home Chapel. Memorials may be made to St. Francis Home Alzheimers Association or a char ity of the donor's choice.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the St. Francis Home Chapel. Burial w ill be in St. Mary Cemetery in Millersville. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Ho me in Tiffin and 10:30 -11 a.m. Sat. at St. Francis Home Chapel. |
