(also Jackson, Hardy J.), Pvt. 2nd Co M, 12th La. Inf. En. March 1, 1862, Vernon, La. Federal Rolls of Prisoners of War show him captured at Huntsville, Ala., April 7, 1862. Transfd. to Johnson's Island, Ohio, April 26, 1862. Forwd. to Camp Chase, Ohio, May 27, 1862. Present on Roll dated Sept. 22, 1862. Rolls from Aug, 1863, to Oct., 1863, absent without leave since Aug. 4, 1863. Roll for Nov. and Dec., 1863, deserted Aug 4, 1863. On Rolls of Prisoners of War, Paroled at Monroe, La., June 14, 1865.
