Fred Clark was born in a log cabin in Osage County, Ks. After marrying Nettie Keller, they farmed 80 acres on Long Creek in Coffey County, Kansas. In 1910, they bought and moved to a farm west of Moline, in Elk County, Ks. Fred retired in 1941, to a 10-acre plot at the northwest edge of Moline. His free time was spent selling real estate, tending chickens and gardening. Fred and Bertie had seven children. Their first four were born in Coffey County. Dorothy, Roy and Albert were born on the farm west of Moline. References
