Birthday, 60th Wedding Anniversary Celebrated Mr. and Mrs. Special congratulations poured in this week for Mr. and Mrs. Frank "Van Etta of :69 West Eighth St
Not only is it Mr. Van Etta's 86th birthday anniversary today, but last Sunday the couple observed their 60th wedding anniversary.
Mrs, Van Etta was 78 years old on Aug. 15 A former captain of the Holland Police force.
Van Etta also served for four years as sheriff of Ottawa county
He joined the local police force in 1920 serving eight years after which he became associated with the sheriff's department
Following his resignation he served as a barber in Holland for 5 1 /' years. Frank Van Etta The Van Ettas have been members of First :Reformed Church all their married lives. They were married by the late Rev. Seth Vander Werf, then pastor of First church.
They have three children, William of Holland, Mrs. Alvin (Coralyn) Alber of Muskegon and Mrs, Russel (Olive) Vande Poel of Holland.
There are four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The Van Etta's have retired from active work 16 years ago and since that time have done some traveling in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
