Per Funeral Card: Frank spent his entire lifetime on a farm south of Golden City, Missouri. He married Abbie Dean Cowan on June 15, 1937 in Golden City, Missouri. Frank was one of the first electricians in this area with the Rural Electric Association and wired many homes in the 1940s in addition to being a farmer. After retiring from farming he was an avid truck gardener and enjoyed raising cattle.

Frank had been the President of the Victory School Board for many years and a charter member of the Victory MFA Club. He was a member of the Golden City United Methodist Church. Frank loved to hunt and fish. He loved his wife greatly, was a loving, compassionate father and grandfather and a good and considerate neighbor who could be counted on in any kind of emergency.

Obituary-The Joplin Glove published 2005-08-26 Frank D. Stolting Frank D. Stolting was born in Golden City, Mo. on August 17, 1915. He died at 6:15 a.m. on Wednesday, August 24, 1005 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Lockwood, Mo.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Abbie Dean (Cowan) Stolting; his infant sister, Anna Stolting; and his three half sisters, Joanna Bishop, Josephine Stevenson and Bertha Grandclair.

Frank spent his entire lifetime on a farm south of the Golden City area.

He married Abbie Dean on June 15, 1937 in Golden City. Frank was one of the first electricians in this area with the Rural Electric Association and wired many homes in the 1940s in addition to his farming. Frank was a member of Golden City United Methodist Church. he loved his wife greatly, was a loving compassionate father and grandfather and a good and considerate neighbor who could be counted on in any kind of emergency.

Frank is survived by his daughters, Anna Brinkhoff and husband, Junior, Jasper, Missouri., Louise Fine and husband, Robert, Excelsior Springs, Mo. and Carolyn Drake and husband, Steve, Traverse City, Michigan; his brother, Paul Stolting and wife, Genelle, St. Roberts, Mo.; his sister, Margaret Huston, state of Oklahoma; his eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30a.m. on Saturday, August 27, at the Golden City United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. on Friday, August 26, at Pugh Funeral Home in Golden City.

Memorials may be given to the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in care of the funeral home.
