FRANK E. ANDREWS Frank E. Andrews was born October 14, 1876 at Salem, Illinois, the son of Amos and Emaline Rudy Andrews, and passed away at his home in Howard, Kansas, March 27, 1937. He came to Elk County, KS, with his parents in 1877, arriving in Howard when he was one year and one day old. The family home was located two miles north of Howard for several years and the deceased has spent his entire life in and around Howard. He was married at Carthage, MO, September 4, 1912 to Ethyl Mae Foster. One daughter Allene Gean, was born to this union. Surviving are the wife of the home address; the daughter, Mrs. Donald Bennitt of Longton; a granddaughter, Donna Gean Bennitt, a sister, Mrs. Sanford Anderson and a brother, Albert O. Andrews of Howard. Another brother, Alpha Andrews of Woodland, WA died in 1931. Frank Andrews' life, like his work, was constructive. He was quiet, mild and unassuming: possessed a rare wit, a keen sense of loyalty, was always considerate of those around him, and at all times exemplified those virtues classified as the good neighbor and kind father and husband. The funeral was held from the Methodist Church, Monday afternoon March 29 at 2:30, Rev. Harry R. Weed in charge, and the remains were laid to rest in Grace Lawn Cemetery, following Masonic rites.
