Liviing in Pembina, North Dakota at 1880, 1890 Veteran's Census,1900 and 1910 Census. Listed as City Treasurer in 1885 North Dakota Census Editor of Pembina Pioneer Express. Listed in Surviving Civil War Veterans and Widows, Pembina County, North Dakota, 1890 Rank: Seaman Unit Name: Tuscarora Enlist Date: 3 Dec 1864 Discharge Date: 20 Jan 1868 Service Length: 3yrs 1mo 19days Disability Incurred: No Living in Colorado Springs, CO at 1920 census, occupation listed as retired newspaper editor, along with sons Robert and Adna. Listed in 1921 Colorado Springs Directory, living at 845 E. Yampa. The first public schoolteacher in North Dakota. For most of his life he published the newspaper in Pembina. He retired to Long Beach, CA about 1925 and died there. - Gladys Wardwell Lehman "F.A.
