("Francis Plumer of Newbury released from training, paying eight shillings per year to the use of the company," 27 September 1659 [EQC 2:178]. This implies that Plummer was not yet sixty years old, for at that age he would not have been required to pay anything to be dismissed from training. However, this would make him quite young at marriage, assuming that the age of his elder son is correctly estimated.)
