Francis will be referred to as Francis-2 as he is second (known) generation in Stafford and/or Prince William.

The following 1712 deed is the first found mentioning Francis. His estimated birth date is based on him being at least 25 years old by date of 1712 grant though he was likely older.

1712 Apr 4 (Northern Neck Proprietary Grants) From Catherine Lady Fairfax to Francis Jackson 227A on the South Run of Quantico Creek. This land adjoins land of Robert Hedges purchased in 1708. Note that in 1745 his son (also named Francis Jackson) records a resurvey of this same 227A saying it was first purchased by his (unnamed) father. This 1712 deed is the original purchase of the 227 acres by Francis Jackson, proving that the Francis of the 1745 deed had a father also named Francis. The 29 Nov 1742 deed says this land was in Dettingen Parish. (It later became Prince William County.)

Mention of Francis-2 being deceased in found in a 1723 Deed: William Spiller of Stafford, 350A on Occaquan in Stafford wrnt 19 Feb last. Surv by Capt. Tho's Hooper 22 Feb last. Adjoins Wm. White & John Bennett, Francis Jackson dec'd. . . No will has been found.

Proof that this Francis Jackson-2 had a son, also named Francis Jackson, is found in this 1745 deed wherein his son has asked for a new survey of the above 227 acres and is granted possession of the 227 plus 113 acres for a total of 340 acres.
