Frank lived in Somerset from 1958 and was very active in the community. As a result of a number of drownings in the local beach and river he set up a committee to start a surf club and was instrumental in the establishment of the Somerset Surf Life Saving Club and was the first President. He also headed up the committee for a grandstand on the local oval. He organised the Somerset RSL sub branch and was a member of the Buffalo lodge until his death. He worked for Mobil Oil Australia from 1950`s until his retirement from ill health at 58
Frank wrote up his own family history book in the late 80's before he died.
He has listed in the back grandchildren, gg grandchildren for Sarah & Peter Roney. He copied this information from Peter & Sarah Roney's family bible which seemed to remain in the family with one of the older girls. Last known it was with Mary Mc Cormack, it is now presumed to be with one of her girls.
