Both born St Clement Danes. In addition, there were atleast 3 other children: William (aged 22in 1871 and living as a boarder elsewhere. Medical student. became dentist), Marchant (ship Captain, aged 26 in 1871), and Jessie (32 in 1871) who married John T Browne Mason, dentist.

1881 - living at 10 Bridge Avenue, Hammersmith,London. Widower. Aged 62. Household includes her son Harold (30, unmarried, bankers clerk) and various servants.

1891 - Aged 72, living in Crediton, Devon, with her grandson Marchant Penfold (17, Royal navy) and her daughter JessieBrowne Mason (52). Household included 3 Browne Mason daughters, a number of servants and a sick nurse, as well as a dental student. JohnT Browne Mason (51) was away from home at this time - staying with his brother-in-law William Penfold (42, dentist) at Mount Pleasant, Hendon, Middlesex, along with his son Herbert Browne Mason (18, student).
