In Pleasant Springs, Wis., Oct. 31st, 1874, of intermittent fever, Mrs. Frances G., wife of E. M. Crandall, aged 50 years, 4 months, and 5 days. The subject of this notice was the oldest daughter of the late Eld. H. P. Green, of Little Genesee, N. Y. When about nine years of age, she gave her heart to the Saviour, and united with the First Seventh-day Baptist Church in Genesee. She continued her membership in this church until she removed to Wisconsin in 1851, when she united with the Seventh-day Baptist Church in Christiana, of which she remained a worthy member until about seven years ago, when she embraced the doctrinal views of the Seventh-day Adventists, and united with that people.
Having been paralyzed in her right side so that she could not walk, she had been a great sufferer for the last twelve years. Never uttering a complaint, she bore her sufferings with patience and Christian fortitude. She sleeps in Jesus, and we trust will have a part in the first resurrection.
Her funeral was attended at the Seventh-day Baptist Church in Utica, Wis., on Second-day, Nov. 2d. Discourse by the writer of this notice. Text, 1 Cor. 15: 35-38. J. E. N. B.
