Fern M. Taggart PLAINVILLE - Fern M. Taggart, 85, Plainville, died Tuesday, Dec. 10,1996, at a Hays hospital. Mrs. Taggart managed the Sauder Furniture Store in Madison until she retired. She was born Nov. 12. 1911, at Coffeyville, the daughter of Rennie and Emma Head Livingston. She lived many years at Madison before she moved to Plainville a few years ago. Mrs. Taggart was a member of the United Methodist Church, and the Order of the Eastern Star, both in Madison. She married Harmon Cole Taggart on Feb. 17, 1931, at Emporia. He died May 12, 1988. Survivors include three daughters, Maxine Inskeep, Arlington, Texas, Linda Wooton, Plainville, and Gaylene Walter, Aurora, Colo.; a brother Walter Livingston, Emporia; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 am today at the Wilson Funeral Home in Madison. Burial will be at Blakely Cemetery northwest of Madison. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rooks County Cancer Society and sent in care of the funeral home.
