Evelyn Marie Cranch Retired Fostoria City school teacher Evelyn Marie Cranch, 80, died at 12:40 a.m. Monday, Jan. 18, 1999, in t he Good Shepherd Nursing Home, 725 Columbus Ave, Fostoria, where she w as a resident. She was born in Fostoria, July 31, 1918, the daughter of John P and Haz el (Cochard) Myers. In 1964, in Fostoria, she married George E Cranch, w ho died in 1986. A sister, Mrs. Dale (Geraldine) Kuhlman, survives in Perrysburg. Mrs. Cranch, a World War II U.S Nurses Cadet Corp. veteran, retired in 19 75 as a teacher from the Fostoria City Schools, having taught at Holmes a nd Lowell School for 18 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Fostoria; Fostoria Ladi es Garden Club, Fostoria Area Historical Society, the National Herb Socie ty and the Sandusky Valley Amateur Astronomy Club, where she was a life me mber. Mrs. Cranch also held various offices in the American Red Cross and work ed for many years with the Blood Bank. The Rev. R Edson Reed will be the officiant at the 2 p.m. Saturday servi ce in the First Presbyterian Church. There will be no visitation. The Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria, is in c harge of arrangements.
