Eusebe ARCENEAUX, born 1761, one of two sons listed for Pierre & Marie GODIN dit LINCOUR. In 1766 Pierre was at St. James, LA; in 1769 he was deceased and his widow married Basile PREJEAN [when son Eusebe was about 7 years old]. Marie occupied lot number 31 on the west bank of the Mississippi, with her two sons. No separate entry for Eusebe [as there is for his brother Pierre II].

In Dec 1803 Usebe ARSENEAU claimed a tract of land on the right bank of the bayou La Fourche, in La Fourche county, of 133 1/3 superficial arpents, bounded on upper side by Jean Baptiste DAIGLE, on lower by Pierre Marie THERIOT. This land was surveyed in 1790 on order of Governor MIRO for Juan BOUDREAU, and was inhabited and cultivated since then.

Usebe ARSENEAU, #132-405, had a land grant in the county of Lafourche (comprising the present parishes of Terrebonne and Lafourche) or along the right or west bank of Bayou Lafourche. It comprised 133 and 1/3 superficial arpents bounded upstream by Jean Baptiste D'AIGLE and downstream by Pierre Marie THERIOT. Tract was surveyed by order of governor Miro in 1790 for Juan BOUDREAU and subsequently sold to the claimant.

Eusebe is around age 48, his wife 41, with six boys and five girls [of 13 born, one son died in 1807. [Actually there should be 7 boys home and 5 girls. Could the female over 45 be one of the grandmothers? Marie Modeste at age 14 is one of girls age 10-15. No slaves. [Next door is the widow of Jean Baptiste DAIGLE and her 7 children On the other side is Pierre M. TERRIO.]
