Personal History

Ernest Dove, (fourth) son of Edwin Dove of Derby Road, Heaton Moor, by Rebecca[2] Overton,[1] was born on 30 June 1881 and was baptized on 24 August 1881 at the Wesleyan-Methodist chapel in Heaton Moor, Lancashire[2] (the birth was registered in the district of Stockport[1]).

On 29 September 1915, Ernest Dove (age 34) of Heaton Moor, manager and son of Edwin Dove, restaurant proprietor, and Dorothy Jepson (age 22) of Heaton Mersey, daughter of James Jepson, architect, were married by banns in the parish church of St Paul, Heaton Moor, co. Lancaster.

Death and Probate

Ernest Dove then of Thorncroft, Mauldeth Road, Heaton Mersey, Lancashire, died there on 1 August 1935[4] (the death was registered in the district of Stockport[3]).

On 2 November 1935 at Manchester, his will was proved and administration was granted to his wife Dorothy. His effects were in the amount of £4723-18-6.[4]
