Miss Emma Parish died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Anna Woody, on South Main Street Saturday afternoon, December 27, after an illness of two years. She was a daughter of the late James and Harriet Madison Parish and was born May 29, 1860. All her life was spent in Cynthiana where she had a large number of friends who admired her for her womanly virtues and kindly nature. She was a member of the Methodist church from her girlhood. Two sisters survive, Mrs. Woody and Mrs. Mary Clary, of this city.
